[CANCELLED] In the Family - Prairie Voices 20th Anniversary Celebration!

Saturday, Mar 14, 2020 at 7:30PM

Knox United Chruch

Prairie Voices Inc. celebrates 20 years! Join all three choirs of the PVI family as we celebrate this exciting occasion.

100 PVI singers, plus a choir of alumni, plus our legacy conductors Elroy Friesen, Kristel Peters and Vic Pankratz. You'll hear old favourites, new favourites and a brand new choral commission by Kathleen Allan. Don't miss this choral event!

PVI is a family of choirs based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Our ensembles, Bluestem, Prairie Voices, and Horizon, use energy, expressiveness, and movement to connect contemporary composition with a popular audience. We perform music in many styles from many different places in the world, with a special emphasis on music by Canadian composers.

From the PVI Facebook:

After careful consideration, Prairie Voices Inc. has made the difficult decision to postpone the events of our March 14 20th anniversary concert. We believe that the arts are a vital part of a stable, healthy community and that they are what people often turn to in times of stress. However, we have a responsibility to ensure the safety not only of our choral community – our choristers, directors, and audience – but of the greater community as a whole.

We recognize the disappointment this may cause and we feel the same. We are hopeful that we will be able to reschedule the event in the coming months.

If you have already purchased tickets, we will gladly offer a transfer into one of our May concerts or a refund. With that said, we do humbly ask you to consider it a donation, as we work to offset the costs already incurred by this event.

We thank you for your understanding and we look forward to singing for you again soon!
