WNMF proudly presents Winnipeg’s own Camerata Nova vocal ensemble in a program that builds on the theme of “old made new”. Renaissance masters Guillaume de Machaut and Carlo Gesualdo, composers from the 14th and 16th centuries, are the source material for Canadian composer Terri Hron’s brand new electro-acoustic Of All the Flowers, which forms the centerpiece of the program.
Works by Kristi Lane Sinclair and Cecilia Livingston (Canada), and Mary Kouyoumdjian (USA) and a set of pieces by 20th-century Georgian composers Taktakishvili, Matchavariani, and Kechakmadze round out the program with unique sounds and perspectives.
