Winnipeg Singers ▬ Icons and Incense: Music of the Russian Orthodox Tradition

Our most popular bi-annual series Icons and Incense features two major choral works. The first is The Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom by Peter Tchaikovsky. The second is a new work that we have commissioned and will be a world premiere at Icons & Incense: Missa Brevis, with movements composed by Neil Weisensel (Benedictus), Jesse Krause (Kyrie), Ian Campbell (Agnes Dei) and Karen Sunabacka (Gloria).
Rounding off the concert will be John Tavener’s Svyati (O Holy One) featuring cellist Yuri Hooker, principal cello, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
Single tickets are available at Adults $30, Senior (65+) $25, 30 and under $15.
