Taught by Sean Irvine and in partnership with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, this workshop offers a comprehensive exploration of the compositional process, from the seed of an idea to the final orchestral arrangement. Participants will gain insight into broader orchestration techniques, the evolution of musical ideas, and how compositions fit into the larger soundscape of an album. The course will provide a deeper understanding of how composers craft music and shape its journey from conception to completion.
