Complemented by the picturesque setting of Seven Oaks House Museum (the oldest house in Winnipeg!) and the gentle sounds of wind and birds, the concert begins with string duos and trios, including a couple of hits from oldies but goodies like Beethoven and Piazzolla. Then we’ll switch gears as local legends and friends of the MCO Jim Hiscott (on button accordion) and Rodrigo Muñoz (on guitar and percussion) share tunes and stories from their long musical partnership. We'll wrap up the morning with Jim Hiscott’s Caña, a joyous piece he wrote for Rodrigo and Papa Mambo plus string trio and button accordion. It’s the perfect event to jump start Labour Day weekend while celebrating friendship, community, and of course, fabulous music.

Concert attendees are welcome to stay and visit the museum, which is open until 4:00pm. Museum admission is by donation (suggested donation is $5) and guided tours are available.
