Virtuosi Concerts Presents: ARTISTS OF MANITOBA – HOLIDAY IN VIENNA: Madeline Hildebrand & The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble

Saturday, Dec 15, 2018 at 7:30PM

Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall in the University of Winnipeg

Pianist Jon Kimura Parker describes Madeline Hildebrand as “an extraordinary young artist [whose] pianism is of the highest level; she has an instinctive understanding of beautiful sound.” Madeline is a silver medal laureate of the 2013 E-Gré National Music Competition, and a gold medalist of the 2012 WMC McLellan Competition. She has been most enthusiastically received in performances of The Adventures of Pianowoman!™ composed by Randolph Peters. Most recently, she performed in the WSO’s New Music Festival playing the Philip Glass etudes, along with Glass himself. Two years ago, the audience response to this ensemble of players was rapturous. One patron wrote, “The WSO String Ensemble is always excellent, but the addition of [Madeline] made it extra special… She is a pleasure to hear and watch”.
