Larry Strachan
Accused of having “written too much,” the music of Georg Philipp Telemann frequently gets overlooked. In the first session, Larry Strachan will unearth and discuss a few of the many gems of this undervalued composer of the Baroque era, including a masterful orchestral suite in C Major. In the second session, he will focus on Telemann's seldom performed choral music, including his 'Brockes Passion' and a cantata for the citizen captains of Hamburg.
