Hinode Taiko is marking the 40th anniversary of our founding with back-to-back concerts at Winnipeg's Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain, Saturday Nov 26, 7:30pm, and Sunday Nov 27, 12 noon — it’s the taiko event of the year!
HIKARI — which means “the light leading the way” — will showcase Japanese drumming, dancing and vocals by a full spectrum of Hinode Taiko members. The concert, which will feature the premiere of several original compositions by Artistic Director, Yuko Nozoe, will take you on a thrilling journey through our newest & shiniest repertoire (plus a sampling of beloved oldies).
Tickets are $25 and are available online: https://hinodetaiko.ca/events/
Rush seating only, doors open 1 hour before showtime. Wheelchair accessible. Free reception to follow each performance.
THIS IS A LIVE, IN-PERSON EVENT. We respect and follow all public health measures. For the safety and comfort of all, we recommend that audience members self-screen for communicable illnesses including COVID, and wear masks while indoors (except when consuming refreshments), as our performers and volunteers (who are all vaccinated) will be doing.
